As one of two New York State designated Centers of Excellence, the Center of Excellence in Wireless and information Technology (CEWIT) strives to conduct first-class interdisciplinary research and development in wireless and information technology; foster new enterprise development; and address the skilled technology worker shortage.

CEWIT will continue its mission of conducting first-class interdisciplinary research and development in wireless and information technology and fostering new enterprise development for Long Island and New York State.

CEWIT provides incubator companies with access to more tha 70 multidisciplinary affiliated researchers and potential partnerships with both industry and academic partners. CEWIT's list of researchers, partners, and resources can be viewed on our Work With Us page.

CEWIT incubator companies are primarily focused in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, wireless technology, healthcare software and hardware, cybersecurity, and data visualization.

There is no fee for submitting the form and getting reviewed.  If you are accepted into our incubator, you will have a one-year lease subject to review after the year to see if you are meeting the milestones for success. You will have access to conference rooms with projector, screen, internet and teleconference ability and the support of our Incubator Advocate who will help answer your questions and the SBDC.

Hack@CEWIT is the annual student hackathon run by CEWIT in the Research and Development Park at Stony Brook University. The event features hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from across the U.S developing projects in AI, Internet of Things (IoT), healthcare, sustainability, and cybersecurity over the course of 43 hours.
